Privacy Policy

Quran Focus ("the App") is developed by Strategie Ayoub ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Do Not Collect

Quran Focus is built to collect as little as possible. We do not collect:

• Any traditional account, password, or login
• Your real name, email address, or phone number
• Advertising identifiers, and we never show ads inside the app
• Your precise GPS location (see Location below)

Data Stored on Your Device

All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms (UserDefaults and App Groups). This includes:

• Your reading progress and preferences
• Selected theme, reciter, and translation preferences
• App blocking settings and selected apps
• Cached Quran verses and audio for offline use
• Prayer time data based on your device region

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Friends Leaderboard (Optional)

Quran Focus includes an optional Friends Leaderboard. If you choose to set a display name and use it, a small amount of data is stored on our backend (powered by Supabase) so you and the friends you invite can compare progress:

• An anonymous identifier — a random ID generated on your device, not linked to your Apple ID, name, email, or phone number
• The display name you choose and a generated invite code
• Daily reading counts — verses read, minutes read, and your current reading streak

Only friends who redeem your invite code can see your display name and reading counts. You can permanently erase all of this data at any time from the app's Settings ("Erase my leaderboard data"). If you never set a display name, none of this data is created or sent.

Analytics & Advertising Measurement

To understand how people discover Quran Focus and to measure the performance of our advertising, the app uses the TikTok Business SDK. This runs only after you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — if you decline, this measurement is disabled. It records events such as app installs and onboarding milestones; it does not access the content you read.

Screen Time & Family Controls

Quran Focus uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time APIs to block and unblock apps you select. This functionality:

• Operates entirely on your device
• Only affects apps you voluntarily choose to block
• Uses Apple's privacy-preserving opaque tokens — we never see the names or identifiers of your apps
• Can be disabled at any time in the app's Settings

Third-Party Services

The App connects to the following external services for content only:

• AlQuran.cloud API — to fetch Quran verse text, translations, and audio recitations
• Aladhan API — to fetch prayer times based on your device's region setting (no GPS data is sent)
• Apple StoreKit — to process in-app subscriptions through Apple's secure payment system
• Supabase — to store the optional Friends Leaderboard data described above (anonymous ID, display name, invite code, daily reading counts)
• TikTok Business SDK — advertising measurement, used only with your App Tracking Transparency consent

We do not control these services and recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.

Location

The App may request location permission for the Qibla compass feature. Location data is processed entirely on your device to calculate the direction to the Kaaba. Location data is never transmitted or stored.

Children's Privacy

Quran Focus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Subscriptions

In-app purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Subscription management and cancellation is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
